Visited Ben Venue, in the Trossachs, on 17/02/04. It was a beautiful crisp, clear day. To get there, follow the A81 from Glasgow City centre to Aberfoyle. When in Aberfoyle main street, carry on through towards Stronachlachar,  for about 4 miles. Do not take the main road to the "Dukes Pass".

Park opposite Ledard Farm in the lay by. Distance from Hamilton to Car Park is approximately 44 miles.

 The route itself is signposted beside the farm and there is a well defined path to the top. The path is muddy in places. Time taken - 3 hours to the top, 2 hours to get back down.
